U.S. Cellular Launches Postpaid Plans & Devices in More Than 460 Walmart Stores

U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM) announced today that it will begin offering its postpaid service in more than 460 Walmart stores across the country, including 47 stores in Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Customers can select from U.S. Cellular’s value-packed plans and enjoy all of the carrier’s unique benefits, such as the only points-based rewards program in wireless, no new contract after the first one ends and free incoming calls, texts and picture messages. “Bringing our postpaid service to Walmart provides consumers with another option when they’re shopping for wireless,” said Dana Dorcas, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in the Mid-Atlantic. “We look forward to showing Walmart customers that a better relationship with their wireless carrier is possible by providing the best customer experience and treating our customers like neighbors, not numbers.” Postpaid service is available in the Mid-Atlantic at the following Walmart locations: Walmart, 125 Clarion

There are currently 1.8 billion smartphones in the U.S. and as that number increases, mobile couponing is expected to rise along with it. She has 12 years of wireless phone experience with U.S. Cellular and is a native of the greater Summersville area. Brandi began her leadership journey with U.S. Cellular working at the Summersville Walmart in September 2000. She was named sales manager in 2004 and promoted to store manager in September 2008. Study Finds that 56 Percent of People are Unhappy with Wireless Provider

U.S. Cellular Launches New Campaign to Help Those in Dysfunctional Wireless Relationships A study by U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM) indicates that 43 percent of individuals are in the “seven year itch” phase with their wireless provider, noting they are comfortable but suspect they are missing out on something better. Out of the 1,208 participants polled across four regions of the country, 56 percent of the respondents admitted to being unhappy with their carrier over the past year but only 35 percent of all respondents have ever broken up with their provider. In spite of this overall dissatisfaction, respondents are hesitant to call it quits. It’s no secret that people are frustrated with their wireless experience, but people tolerate less because they don’t believe there is a better option. U.S. Cellular Offers Free Charging Stations at Local Stores in Beckley, Fayetteville, Lewisburg, Princeton & Summersville

As area residents continue to recover from the impact of weekend storms that left millions in the region without power, U.S. Cellular is providing charging stations at its retail stores throughout the area. Residents can power up their cell phones, make complimentary phone calls to loved ones and access the Internet. U.S. Cellular customers can also switch out their dead or dying cell phone batteries for a fully charged one for free through the company's industry-leading Battery Swap program. All area stores have power with the exception of the Fayetteville store. The store will still be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily to sell and exchange batteries and cell phone chargers, despite the lack of power.
