WVU’s Orange Bowl Trophy Comes to U.S. Cellular

Public invited to take pictures with the Orange Bowl Trophy Mountaineer fans in Morgantown will have the opportunity to see and take a free photo with the 2012 Orange Bowl Trophy won by West Virginia University in their historic 37-point victory against Clemson on Jan. 5. The trophy will appear at the U.S. Cellular store at 4121 University Town Centre Dr. in Granville on Friday, Feb. 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 25, from noon to 4 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular store on 1451 Earl Core Rd. in Morgantown. U.S. Cellular Invites Residents to Vote for Black History Month Artwork

U.S. Cellular , Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Virginia , and Mountaineer Boys & Girls Club have teamed up to hold the 5th Annual Black History Month Art Program. The program honors the many contributions of African-Americans and encourages creativity among young people. The competition invited Boys & Girls Clubs members to select an influential African-American and develop his or her likeness into an original 8.5 x 11 portrait using any art medium. “At U.S. Cellular, we believe in providing educational opportunities for children to celebrate our rich and diverse culture,” said Dee Taylor, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in the Mid-Atlantic. “This program allows us to celebrate and reward children in our local communities for their artwork while honoring influential African Americans from the past and present.”  The top 10 finalists’ entries, which are chosen by a panel from the Boys & Girls Clubs, will be displayed at local U.S. Cellular stores so that the pub
