Fuqua School in Top 20 for U.S. Cellular's Calling All Communities

As U.S. Cellular’s (NYSE: USM) Calling All Communities campaign continues, the carrier revealed the Top 100 schools leading the pack and what those new votes mean for participating schools. To date 15,728 total votes have been cast so far with nearly 13,500 just this week in the race to win a share of $1 million in the company’s fourth annual campaign to support education. “It’s great  to see so many local schools already rallying support, but it’s still early and rankings can change quickly,” said Dana Dorcas, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in the Mid-Atlantic. “With four weeks left, there’s plenty of time for communities to pull together to help their local schools make it to the top. U.S. Cellular , the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Washington County Division of Emergency Services will hold a free event for National Preparedness Month on Sat., Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the U.S. Cellular store located at 17163 Cole Road in Hagerstown. At the event, U.S. Cellular will host an array of activities for children, parents, and local residents. Wireless carrier releases first list of top 100 leaders in $1 million contest In just three days of voting in U.S. Cellular’s (NYSE: USM) Calling All Communities campaign, more than 250 schools have jumped into the race to win a share of $1 million in the company’s fourth annual campaign to support education. Today, the carrier released the first list of the 100 schools leading the pack, and the race looks like it’s going to be a good one. U.S. Cellular’s commitment to education is just one of the ways it goes above and beyond other wireless carriers. V oting begins in fourth year of program to help schools Voting begins this Friday, September 14, in U.S. Cellular’s (NYSE: USM) Calling All Communities campaign. Returning for its fourth year, U.S. Cellular is giving communities the opportunity to help improve the education of students at 18 schools by challenging them to rally community support for the chance to win a share of $1 million. The school that garners the most community votes will win $150,000 and the next 17 schools with the most votes will receive $50,000.
