2024 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest Voting Begins in Virginia

Attention Virginians! Here is a fun way to celebrate HispanicHeritageMonth2024. Voting has begun for the Second Annual UScellular Hispanic Heritage Art Contest with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia, representing 11 clubs throughout the greater Roanoke area and beyond.

The contest invited members of the clubs to create their original pieces of artwork in recognition of influential Hispanic icons, including historical figures, world leaders, scientists and educators.

Ten finalists have been chosen by representatives from the Boys & Girls Club based on creativity, quality, interpretation, clarity of theme and overall impression. The finalists’ artwork will be digitally displayed in select stores, and until September 22, anyone 18 and older is invited to vote for their favorite art online. The top three vote-getters at each Club will be announced in October with the winners receiving the following:

$250 for first place, $150 for second place and $100 for third place.
