U.S. Cellular Launches Postpaid Plans & Devices in More Than 460 Walmart Stores

U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM) announced today that it will begin offering its postpaid service in more than 460 Walmart stores across the country, including 47 stores in Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Customers can select from U.S. Cellular’s value-packed plans and enjoy all of the carrier’s unique benefits, such as the only points-based rewards program in wireless, no new contract after the first one ends and free incoming calls, texts and picture messages. “Bringing our postpaid service to Walmart provides consumers with another option when they’re shopping for wireless,” said Dana Dorcas, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in the Mid-Atlantic. “We look forward to showing Walmart customers that a better relationship with their wireless carrier is possible by providing the best customer experience and treating our customers like neighbors, not numbers.” Postpaid service is available in the Mid-Atlantic at the following Walmart locations: Walmart, 125 Clarion

U.S. Cellular , the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Washington County Division of Emergency Services will hold a free event for National Preparedness Month on Sat., Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the U.S. Cellular store located at 17163 Cole Road in Hagerstown. At the event, U.S. Cellular will host an array of activities for children, parents, and local residents.
