VAULT NAMES CAPTECH #3 BEST CONSULTING INTERNSHIP

Richmond-based Company Ranks in top 10 Internships Nationally

RICHMOND, Va. (Nov. 2014)  CapTech prides itself on being a great place to work.  In fact it is frequently named a “Best” place to work.  Now Vault.com has ranked CapTech as the 3rd Best Consulting Internship and 9th Overall Internship (out of 200 reviewed) and seems to be confirming that.  The ranking prompted an article in Forbes Friday at http://www.forbes.com/sites/ susanadams/2014/10/30/top- consulting-internships/.

The company started the (summer) program two years ago to inspire the next generation of Information Technology thought leaders and innovators. As part of the program, the internship participants manage the full lifecycle of a typical IT consulting project aligned with a key CapTech internal initiative.  The interns manage all aspects of the analysis, design, development, and deployment of an internal tool, allowing them to fully experience the many roles consultants play in everyday projects.

In addition to the project work, interns are paired with a senior CapTech consultant who serves as their evaluator and mentor. The evaluator works with the intern to document their goals at the beginning of the internship and track them through to the final evaluation at the end. Interns have weekly "lunch and learns" with a CapTech senior partner, getting the opportunity to learn and hear the experiences of our most senior consultants. CapTech also sponsors a program that highlights what’s great about the area, “YRichmond” Intern program, giving them exposure to workshops and fun events around the area. At the end of the internship, the intern teams get the opportunity to present their project to the company.
The program has also lead many to a career within the company.
